Play chess against the computer

Choose the beginner level and play as White. The bot calculates legal moves in your browser. Passing lessons unlocks stronger levels.

Practise before you rush

Check what the last move attacked, keep your king safe and look for the opponent’s reply. Use hints to understand a position, rather than moving immediately.

After the game

Review one important moment. Your results and achievements can be kept on this device, or synchronised with an optional account.

Analyse your game against the chess bot

After the game, choose Review game. Jump to a blunder or a strong move, compare your move with the engine’s suggestion and use the chart to see who was ahead after each White move.

Example: White plays 1. Ra2 and Black replies 1…Bxd1, winning the queen. With 1. Qd3, White takes the queen off the bishop’s diagonal. When reviewing a blunder, check which reply makes your move risky.

Learn from a game against the bot

Practise reading threats with Move Check before playing a game.

  1. Choose an available level and play as White. After each reply, check what the last move attacked.
  2. Compare a candidate move with the opponent’s response. Start with checks and captures before committing to a plan.
  3. After the game, choose one moment you want to understand and turn it into a practical goal for your next game.
