The rook
The rook goes straight, and keeps going. It is one of the strongest pieces on the board.
Straight, as far as you like
The rook moves up, down, left and right. As far as it wants, as long as the way is clear.
Not through
Your own piece blocks the way. You may capture an enemy, but you can't go further behind it.
